Alkira means ‘bright & happy’, the ‘sun’ and ‘sky’, in the traditional language. Our vision is to provide a space of collaboration where knowledge and skills are shared, developed and enhanced through sharing of expertise and know-how. Teaching new skills and exploring better ways of delivering aesthetic treatments, while providing a supportive environment to build the knowledge and confidence of practitioners across Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.

Recognising the need to provide a purpose-built Aesthetic Centre for training, mentoring and masterclasses, Robin opened the doors to Face Academy in August 2017 which ultimately inspired the creation of Alkira Aesthetics in June 2021.

In recognition of the need to evolve aesthetic training, Alkira Aesthetics is a space for collaboration between manufacturers, corporations, clinical trainers, clinical educators and clinicians. A space where practical small group learning, masterclasses and 1-on-1 mentoring is provided, in a safe and professional manner. Where client safety and safe practice are the cornerstones of the Alkira Aesthetics vision.
Robin Curran
Nurse Practitioner/Author/Speaker
Robin believes the evolution of aesthetic nursing in Australia is a thrilling journey that reflects her commitment to enhancing the skin, health & wellness of the Australian community. As a passionate professional with over 25 years experience in Aesthetic nursing, Robin strives to elevate the profession, embrace innovation, and cultivate a deeper understanding of aesthetic practices. Her mission is to empower nurses to excel in this dynamic field, ensuring that they not only advance their skills but also contribute positively to the lives of their clients. Together, Robin believes we are all shaping the future of aesthetic nursing, making it a vibrant and respected discipline in the healthcare landscape.
Robin is a nationally recognised trainer and speaker, co-authored the UWS university text on cosmetic dermatology nursing. As the Chairperson for The Australian College of Nursing (Cosmetic Dermatology faculty), Robin led the project reviewing the Standards of Practice for Cosmetic Nurses in Australia
As the Founder of Alkira Aesthetic Centre, Robin has many years of experience in building best practice businesses, delivering exceptional training and treatments for every client for over a decade.
Robin's strong business acumen is under-pinned by a Health Science degree (Nursing), Post-Graduate certificates and diplomas in scheduled medicines, pharmaceuticals, management, nursing training and marketing. As well as a Masters of Business Administration(MBA) and a Masters of Nurse Practitioner. (MNP)

Dr Ghassan Abiad
B.AppSci (Orthoptics) MBBS PhD
Dr Gus joins Alkira Aesthetics as the supervising medical practitioner. He is an accredited optometrist with a PhD, a Bachelor of medicine and surgery and dermatology. Dr Gus has been practicing in aesthetics for over 6 years and has worked with Robin and the team since 2015.
Dr Gus will be available for medical consultations such as skin checks, mole removals, health checks as well as complex aesthetic procedures such as blepharoplasty (eye-lid surgery), non-surgical face-lift (PDO and PLA lifts), double-chin reduction, hair rejuvenation with PRP Regen and other dermatological procedures.
Dr Gus is available for consultations (A $150 Consultation is applicable) and bookings are essential
Chandini Parmar RN
Clinical Nurse Educator
Chan is a dual-trained Radiographer and Registered Nurse with over 10 years of clinical experience across NHS hospitals throughout the North West of England. Holding a Master’s degree in Adult Nursing, she built a strong foundation in patient care, medical imaging, and complex clinical practice before pursuing her passion for aesthetics full-time in 2020.
Since transitioning, Chan has developed advanced skills and expertise across the full aesthetic portfolio with a particular interest for lip enhancement treatments. Combining her deep understanding of lip anatomy with an artistic eye, she specialises in creating beautifully balanced, natural results tailored to her patients. She also holds high regard for Botulinum toxin and bioregenerative treatments, as they help patients achieve long-lasting outcomes through evidence-based care.
Patient safety remains at the centre of her practice. Her background in radiography provides a unique understanding of internal tissue structures and the physiological impact aesthetic treatments can have beneath the skin. Driven by a never-ending scope to understand human biology and holistic health, she has further expanded her knowledge through advanced training in bloodwork analysis, female hormone health, and skin health, completing an intensive six-month course focused on understanding the connection between internal wellness and external skin outcomes.
Dedicated to continuous education and delivering natural, medically led results, Chan prides herself on creating a friendly and chatty patient-centred experience where patients feel supported and confident throughout their aesthetic journey.
Vivienne Lee RN
Registered Nurse / Clinical Trainer
Vivienne Lee is a Registered Nurse and Aesthetic Nurse with over four years of experience, complemented by a strong foundation in surgical and theatre nursing within Metro South Hospitals. As a Trainer at Alkira Aesthetics, she is deeply passionate about advancing skin health and enhancing natural beauty through evidence-based aesthetic practices. Dedicated to continuous learning and professional growth in this ever-evolving industry, Vivienne ensures her clients receive the most up-to-date, safe, and effective treatments. She takes pride in delivering tailored, medically aesthetic results that promote confidence and long-lasting satisfaction through patient-centred care.
Emma Williams
Advanced Clinical Nurse Educator
Emma is a widely recognised industry professional with several years’ experience in the industry, working in senior management roles for Allergan Australia and recently with Artisan Aesthetic Clinics, Dermocosmetica
Emma is a founder and co-owner of the aesthetic educational application – Complete Face https://completeface.net/ and works closely with several of the industry’s key opinion leaders. With a medical science and nursing degree, Emma specialises in developing standard operating procedures, training manuals and educational videos to provide an evolution in standardised best practice for the aesthetic industry. Emma has also practiced at Esteem Medispa, Artisan Clinics and also have her own private group of clients. Emma is available for group training and mentoring.
