Service Description

Botulinum toxin can be used to help people who experience pain and muscle spasms in their shoulder. Botulinum toxin can work by blocking muscular nerve signals to the brain and decreasing pain in the shoulder and neck, reducing tension and pain in general activity. As a result, patients can benefit from an overall improvement in quality of life. Note: It is required that you are an AHPRA registered Medical/Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse and have completed an Introductory course through Alkira or a manufacturer. This course is available to students that have completed the foundation session (or equivalent) with 12 months injecting experience.  We strictly use TGA approved products in line with best practice procedures.
